Spa Life Show a Reality?

About a month ago I stepped into overseeing operations and marketing for one of my spa clients. OMG...talk about drama, everything from half hour discussions about eyebrows to some woman bringing in pictures of her seared vagina from some laser Brazilian procedure she had done somewhere else.  Add in the drama happening behind the scenes with investors, medical doctors (and their egos), we're talking a precious cluster of craze only I could appreciate as a Business Broker.   And did I mention my partner and Spa Consultant Anita Neumann - no words to describe this beautiful mess of a woman.  


Heard this week there's a producer interested in picking up this project as a reality show after I showed them this little clip I produced a few months ago of one of my favorite clients.

Purpose Driven Christmas Shopping That Creates American Jobs

How many times have you bought a Groupon or Living Social voucher?  If you're anything like me, you probably went crazy buying up these deals at first, but maybe now it's no longer setting your hair on fire.  Maybe there's a laser hair removal or car detail deal that interests you but you're not going out of your way to see the latest hot deal...right?

One of the biggest economic challenges we're facing in this country right now is lack of jobs and income.  So much as been and is manufactured in Asia simply because it's cheap.  What if this holiday season you made the choice to buy ONLY local deals and support the people in your community who create and maintain jobs for Americans?  How?  Welp...it's easy.  Almost all the offers on coupon sites like Groupon, Living Social, PopSugar, etc. are based on local services and products.  Why not make your holiday shopping purpose driven:  Help American Small Business Owners Maintain Jobs

Aging Young

The secret to aging young is all about implementing a healthy skin maintenance plan.  It's like anything else you want to last you a life time.  It's pretty simple.  If you take care of your skin, it will take care of you. 

People ask me all the time what I do to keep my skin so healthy, especially since I work sometimes up to twelve hours a day.  Here is my routine:

1.  Exfoliate 2-3 times per week with a buff sponge and mineral scrubs
2.  I do an exfoliating peel once a month
3.  Sunblock everyday (SPF 30 - not just depend on what comes in foundation)
4.  Moiturize every night - face and neck

I also do serums for my eyes regularly, make it a point to replace collagen every now and then with fillers like JUVÉDERM and I'm sure I'll do a little Botox when I start seeing the 11's show up between my eyebrows.  One of my favorite things to do to stimulate collagen is to put a warm damp towel on my face and put my neck massager on it for about 10 minutes per area (and no I don't mean a Rabbit vibrator).  The flat side of a back massager does great.

Are You Friend Jealous?

As social girls we make friends, take friends, sometimes even fake friends (only if it means not hurting someone's feelings); but how often do you "stake friends"???

Those are the friends you basically mark and not just as a BFF.  Short of peeing a small circle around them, you pretty much think you own them.  They're the ones who know every secret, every ounce of insecurity and every ugly moment you've ever had,  judge you to hell for it and it's perfectly okay - because you know they love you.  They're also the ones you'd do anything in the world for...and I mean ANYTHING.

So what happens when someone else comes into the picture and starts borrowing their attention?  Well, in my case I go completely ballistic, but then again I'm an Aries girl.  We're supposed to be fiery and jealous.  Not to say it's right, but it happens.  It's when I don't react that I know I'm simply not all that interested in that person.  Thoughts?
