Young Hollywood Kicks off this Year's Fashion Night Out - LA

Merchants all over Los Angles are a buzz today, preparing for the annual fashion party of the year:  Fashion Night Out

One of the hottest hubs for the event is the Beverly Center on Beverly Blvd.  Tonight  its 100+ retailers will welcome the attendees of the 3rd annual Center Court Fashion Show tonight beginning at 7PM.

It would not be a Hollywood event without a red carpet and of course celebrities.  This year the theme is “Young Hollywood”.  Teen celebs such as famed Kardashian little sister and model Kendall Jenner is not only this year’s Beverly Center poster girl, but also confirmed to attend the festivities.  Lucy Hale, star of ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” will host the first two runway fashion shows.  Other young Hollywood celebrities confirmed to attend include Francesca Eastwood  and Kendra Wilkinson

Love seeing young girls owning their greatness!   Looking forward to a great night!

Digital Hollywood: The Social Gaming Craze

Excerpt from my Hollywood Today story covering Digital Hollywood Week ;-)

Ritz Carlton Hotel,Marina del Rey,CA(Hollywood Today)10/23/11/–
Just a short time ago games were those things stored in boxes that you took out from the “game closet” and played during the family-get-together.  An even shorter time ago the mention of gaming would bring about pictures of nerds gathered around computers drinking Mountain Dew and clicking away on keyboards for hours on end. This picture is now changing and rapidly.  More...

The Classic (and Sexy) White Blouse

It's the fit that hugs in all the right places, a collar just high enough to frame your face beautifully and contrast perfectly down your tan neckline.  The buttons, oh how they define your mood.  Undone one says you're ready, undone two means a show.  And by a show I mean that amazing new lingerie you treated yourself to the last time you visited your favorite boutique.

I absolutely LOVE the classic tailored white blouse.  With jeans and loafers, it's an afternoon at the polo match; with a pencil skirt and heels, you own the boardroom and by itself (with nothing but a cute pair of undies) you can easily drive your man to insanity.  Never underestimate the power of the classic white blouse ladies.  It's one look you can NEVER get wrong.

Cloud/Home Entertainment Gap Bridged with Ultra Violet Technology

Check out what's happening tomorrow!
"Consumers will finally get to experience UltraViolet, the personal digital library technology that delivers wherever, whenever access to content from any Internet-enabled device. Warner Bros. will release the inaugural titles – Horrible Bosses and Green Lantern – equipped with UltraViolet rights into the U.S. marketplace. Neustar Media, a member of The Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE) cross-industry consortium developing and operating UltraViolet, developed the innovative technology powering the service.   Called Coordinator, Neustar’s technology is bringing the cloud into the home through UltraViolet and helps to create a seamless and rewarding consumer experience. UltraViolet is helping to solve for a deeply fragmented media market where consumers are demanding access to data, applications and entertainment on all their devices, including smartphones, laptops and tablets, and in the process opening up new revenue streams for the home entertainment industry. UltraViolet, the cloud-based digital locker enables consumers to watch, share and enjoy entertainment with freedom and flexibility."

How the Emmys Created Added Entertainment Value Through Video Blogging

It's a reality world out there and shows like the Emmys are no exception.  The viewing audience not only wants to see what's happening in front of the stage, they want to experience "behind the scenes" too.  This year I had the opportunity to participate in the behind the scenes magic (like everyone else) via the cleverly positioned cams.  My full review on Hollywood Today...

BTW.  Video blogging is a great strategy to engage your audience one step further at any corporate event.  The key is to have entertaining people hosting the behind the scenes happenings ;-)

Emmys give viewers “LIVE” Backstage webcast access - Video Blogger Style!

It’s a social media world out there.  People not only want access, they want to be involved – before – during and after each special moment.  Backstage of this year’s 63rd Primetime Emmy® Awards, is no exception.  This year’s Emmys will stream a live web cam telecast, capturing all moments behind the scenes from eleven different cameras, each controlled by the viewer, "video blog style."  During the regular scheduled telecast, viewers can tune into un-edited greenroom gatherings, catch celebrity press room interviews and even hang out with the winners in the VIP Winners Lounge – All LIVE. http://www.emmys.com/backstage-live

As Hollywood Today’s Business Correspondent, I will be commenting on the backstage stories, the people and technology that makes it all possible.  Be sure to tune into my tweets @GlampreneurGirl throughout the event.  Is video blogging the next big thing to hit Hollywood?  I seem to think so, and you’ll hear all about it on HollywoodToday.net

Marketing Event Strategy Using Lemons?

This year's Taste LA food and wine festival was nothing less than fabulous; but it was the nifty little promotional strategy Target created that scored HUGE with the crowd.  The amazing part?  They did it by using only lemons, a mason jar and a lemonade stand.

The Incredible Mr. Vo

What could be better than an afternoon in the OC with Hollywood's Vanity Girl, Maxine Tatlonghari and the incredible Mr. Kim Vo from Bravo's Sheer Genius?   How about an impromptu interview and an opportunity to grab some footage for our Skwikee Million Dollar Glampreneur dolls?  Of course picking the brain of Vogue's "best blonder in the business" and colorist to the stars was a super treat, not to mention he's a total BravoTV cutie ;-)

Skwikee Shadows the Vanity Girl Herself!

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of activities for Skwikee.  We attended the Pipeline Summit in NYC, interviewed Mr. Kim Vo in Orange County (CA) and this weekend we're hanging out taping interviews at IMATS with the professional makeup artists of some of the hottest shows on the air.

All sounds like delicious cake, but the icing on this cake is the opportunity to professionally shadow founder and creator of the Vanity Girl Hollywood brand, Maxine Tatlonghari.  This dynamite girl humbly calls the Kardashians, Mariah Cary and Jennifer Love Hewitt, her clients.  I'm super stoked to watch her in action simply because she's a no fear LA business gal, gets right in there and makes it happen!  We can all learn a thing or two from this Girlpreneur ;-)
